Beach Rib-Fest

We came, we saw and we devoured!
It's Beach Rib-Fest in Toronto this weekend at Woodbine Park and when Rob invited me, I wasn't sure what to expect. Well I knew there would be ribs (obviously), but that's about it.
When we got there, there were multiple booths. We picked one with a hearty line, and one with lots of awards (plus an awesome pig statue). And they didn't only sell ribs. Had to try the pulled pork, along with coleslaw and beans. They have different sauces you can layer on but the ribs already come dressed with a delicious basic bbq sauce.

The ribs were cooked perfectly - fall off the bone, melt in your mouth meat. Pulled pork was great too, very saucy. So much food, I couldn't finish everything.
There are lots of other booths too - including poutine, corn, funnel cakes, and an ice cream truck, which of course I wanted to hit up. The ice cream was more expensive than usual, but it was the perfect thing to finish off the night to. Or wait, was it when a drunk man screamed at another guy 'b*tch, I hope you die.' Probably the ice cream...but yes, that happened.

  1. that's it! I'm never missing it again- I couldn't find someone to head over with me, but I suppose I can go alone.
