Woodlot

A year and a bit since our last visit and Woodlot is still just as amazing.  It also scores the honour of serving us the best dish we've tried so far this year - a sweet corn and mascarpone agnolotti with shrimp, corn emulsion and dill.  There really aren't many words that can describe how incredible it tasted.  Also pictured below and presented beautifully - charred haloumi crostini with a spiced chickpea puree and rhubarb compote, spruce cured sockeye salmon with maple, yuzu, radish and foraged greens, melt in your mouth russet potato gnocchi, roasted lingcod, and fingerling potato salad with hazelnuts and fresh herbs.    

This summer the restaurant has set up a sweet little patio facing out onto Palmerston, so go while the weather still allows it.
