Lola's Commissary

Poached eggs at brunch always makes me happy, so when I saw a whopping four poached egg dishes on the menu at Lola's I knew there was something good going on. After passing by it many times and reading about it on Blog TO's best new brunch spots of '09, it was time to check it out. The decor isn't anything special but the delicious food makes up for it and keep in mind, the place is open for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Our brunch consisted of eggs lola - poached eggs, ancho chicken (not too spicy), tortillas, avocado and creme fraiche, a special that day - potato and meat hash with eggs on top, and the egg white frittata with goat cheese, mushrooms, spinach and pesto. My friend who ordered the frittata proudly proclaimed it was one of the best he's ever had.
Go Lola.
